After School Programs

Studies have shown that the two hours immediately following the school day is often the most critical part of the day, when youth are most likely to find themselves in unhealthy situations. Our after-school programs for both Findlay and Fostoria provide the youth in our community, as well as their families, with quality after-school activities. Each day we offer adult mentoring, homework help, educational activities, as well as healthy snacks.

Fostoria Townhouse After School

Drop-In Center

Fostoria, Ohio

When: Tuesday and Thursday of each week

Time: 3:30-5:30pm

Cost: Free to children of the Fostoria Townhouses

Age: 5 years and older

Camp Fire USA provides an after school drop-in center for the youth living in the Fostoria Townhouses. Any child five years of age and older is invited to attend, with the flexibility to enter and leave the program as necessary.

This program offers homework help, crafts and outdoor activities as well as continuous mentoring from caring adults. Many local community partners are brought in to share information and activities with the youth and their families. A variety of topics, from healthy eating to living a substance free life are discussed. It is the goal of Camp Fire USA  to provide the Fostoria Townhouse youth with a safe environment during after school hours.

Youth will have the opportunity to work on their homework, participate in enrichment acitivities, enjoy free time, and recieve a snack.

Each week youth will participate in several activities that will include learning about their community, learning how to make healthy snacks, learning about science and the environment, and much more!
